I’m Kirsten Nicolaisen, a Brooklyn-based photographer specializing in weddings, hospitality, travel, and documentary work. Whether on digital or film, my photography blends vivid, candid scenes with quiet, sincere moments that evoke feelings of nostalgia and familiarity.

Weddings are one of the rare times in life when everyone you love is in the same room at the same time. It’s absolute magic, and my goal is to capture that energy with honesty and care. No over-posed shots or contrived narratives — just inclusive, authentic storytelling that celebrates who you are and the people who mean the most to you. 

With a background in journalism and a deep love for a vintage, film-inspired look, I focus on spontaneous emotion, fleeting details, and those stolen glances that often go unseen. These are the photographs you’ll return to years from now, that make you feel as if you’re right back in the moment.
