Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port

Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port is a small Basque town nestled in the Pyrenees foothills of southwestern France, just before the Spanish border. It's also the starting point for many pilgrims trekking the French Way of the Camino de Santiago.

These images are from the beginning of my second pilgrimage: A sunset arrival in Saint Jean and an ascent through the morning fog at daybreak.
