KATU News

During her tenure at KATU, Kirsten led a breaking news-focused web team, triaged content priorities, crafted speedy social posts and live streams, managed content on katu.com — garnering an average of 10 million monthly page views — wrote nationally syndicated web articles, executed day-to-day news operations, helped develop enterprise stories, and organized major social/digital campaigns with a hand in nearly every aspect of newsroom production.

She was instrumental in spearheading the launch of Facebook Live and executing comprehensive coverage for dozens of major news events including the 2016 presidential election, Portland election and inauguration riots, and the 2017 solar eclipse.
