Kirsten currently manages a global team of social producers for CNET, a division of Red Ventures and formerly of Viacom-CBS. She’s responsible for spearheading new social strategy initiatives, leading promotional efforts for major editorial projects, tracking KPIs and executing breaking news coverage across CNET’s social platforms.
She also works closely with editors and writers to a/b test headlines for social and SEO, and helps her team cover the daily news cycle by pitching stories, working collaboratively on videos and graphics, managing CNET Instagram and CNET YouTube community, writing social copy and overseeing strategy on Facebook and TikTok.
Under Kirsten's leadership, CNET achieved total social referral traffic that was 59% over goal, and Facebook referral traffic that was 170% over goal for Q3 2020 (her first three months on the job)
Grew CNET Instagram account by nearly 70,000 followers in her first five months on the job, and brought the account to #1 in its competitor set for total interactions month-over-month — beating out The Verge, Mashable, Wired, Digital Trends, Engadget and Tech Insider
Kirsten is responsible for CNET's best month on Instagram of all time, increasing video views by 400% in just one month (thanks to spearheading the Instagram Reels effort)
